Yeats’ second book, published two years after the ‘Mosada.’ It is also his first original cloth-bound publication & first collected edition of his poems. One of five hundred copies published.
In addition to the title poem, the last epic-scale poem that Yeats ever wrote, the book includes a number of short poems that he would later collect under the title ‘Crossways’ in his Collected Poems (1895). Yeats wrote: ‘The Wanderings of Oisin was published by subscription, John O’Leary finding almost all the subscribers.’
