Bound in publisher’s quarter cloth and illustrated paper boards, corners and edges lightly worn. Scattered mild dust soiling to contents pages with off-setting to pages 36/37, otherwise a very good copy of a delicate book.
Tales included are Baroness d’Aulnoy’s Finette Cendron, Graciosa and Percinet, The Blue Bird, The Good Little Mouse, and The Pot of Carnations.
Mabel Lucie Attwell was a British illustrator known for her drawings of children, based on her daughter, Peggy. She studied at Heatherley’s and Saint Martin’s School of Art before illustrating for magazines and books, including Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Peter Pan and The Water-Babies.
