The first proper study of ‘The Historical Cycle’ other wise known as The Cycle of the Kings. It is a mix of heavily Christianised stories, including adventures, voyages and visions. It stretches from Labraid Loingsech, King of Leinster in the 3rd century BCE, up to Brian Boramha, High King of all Ireland CE 1001 to 1014.
