A fragile and rare copy of the author’s first book. Issued in the Macmillan’s Contemporary Poets series and containing thirty-one poems. Soon after its publication Kavanagh moved to London in search of literary work but returned to Ireland when this failed to offer a living. His second published work ‘The Green Fool ‘ appeared in 1938.
