Written by Irish writer, novelist, playwright, and historian while in Kilmainham & Mountjoy jails, where she was imprisoned by the fledgling Free State government in 1922 during the Civil War.

Some of the stories appeared in ‘The Dublin Magazine,’ ‘Eire’ and ‘The Irish World.’ They incorporate themes found in Irish legends and myths, including premonitions, ghosts and clairvoyance.
