Light staining to boards, scorch damage to hinge of rear board with a little loss of cloth to lower right corner, contents pages in very good condition. Housed in collector’s solander box.

The scarce second edition issued by Grant Richards from sheets imported from the 1917 American edition published by B.W. Huebsch. However this copy appears to have the title page from the first Richards edition, with the printer and date ‘1914’ on verso. 

According to the bibliography by John Slocum, is it not known how many copies of this second Richards edition exists but it is scarce and only two copies were accounted for in the 1953 edition of his bibliography on the published works of James Joyce. The American sheets were also used in the edition published by the Egoist Press in 1922, which carried the erroneous statement that it was the ‘Second Edition.’
