Crosby Gaige’s papers at Princeton suggest fifty copies of this edition may have been printed.

Of the fifty copies probably only six were offered for sale by the publisher. The remaining 44 copies were presumable given away by Gaige with the exception of a few which were remaindered to the Chaucer Head Book Shop, New York in 1938 by Random House. [Slocum/Cahoon A32]
