A history and development of Downpatrick, a town in Northern Ireland. Edward Parkinson was a noted student of the history of his native city and during his latter years had accumulated a great deal of manuscript material for a book on his favourite subject. On his death in 1914 his son undertook to publish the grater part of his father’s researches.
