Mild staining to endpapers, but text of all the volumes in nice condition throughout.
Each volume profusely illustrated with, folded maps, plans, photographs, etc.
Philip Herbert Hore’s meticulous history, each volume treats of a different part of the county, from the earliest period to the rebellion of 1798.
The Hore family, of which Philip Herbert Hore was a member, were relatively large landowners and first arrived in County Wexford in the early stages of the Anglo-Norman invasion of Ireland. From that time onwards they played a prominent role in the history of the county.
A facsimile edition was published in 1978.
