Light green cloth boards with title in gilt within a wreath of shamrocks to upper cover. Lacks front & rear endpapers, otherwise a fine bright copy. , age toning to text, but a very good copy overall.

Samuel Carter Hall and his wife Anna Maria detailed description of their visit to Killarney national park in the mid-eighteenth century. First published in 1843. The authors, who were Irish, travelled extensively in Ireland. Their most famous publication ‘Ireland: Its Scenery, Character,’ was published in 1846, and stands alone as a great pictorial record of its era.
