For forty years from 1949 May O’Flaherty, ran the famous Dublin literary bookshop ‘Parsons’ on Baggot Street’s Grand Canal bridge. The shop played a major role in Ireland’s literary and cultural development & was frequented by Brendan Behan and Patrick Kavanagh among others.
