These three volumes, containing more than 1500 letters comprise Joyce’s collected correspondence.
Volume one is edited by long-time friend and explicator, Stuart Gilbert, these letters were available sixteen years after Joyce’s death. Volume two and three edited by Richard Ellamnn, Joyce’s biographer, are from the much larger number of letters now available. Vols. 1 and 2 contain a great many letters found in Trieste and elsewhere since the publication of the Gilbert edition in 1957. A considerable number of letters from W.B. Yeats, George Moore, T.S. Eliot and Ezra Pound are included.
