Eva Gore-Booth, born at Lissadell Co. Sligo, was a sister of the turbulent Countess Markievicz. A suffragist, artist and poet, she was a friend of Yeats she was heavily influenced by Celtic Twilight.
A gentle, spiritual and sympathetic person she was steadfastly devoted to her elder sister Constance Markievicz all her life. Her pacificism and the power of love are her perennial themes.
