George Henry (1810–70), politician, landowner, and horse-trainer, was born 1 March 1810 in Moore Hall, Ballyglass, Co. Mayo. Together with Charles Gavan Duffy, Moore played a key role during 1850–51 in compelling all MPs who supported the Tenant League. He was father of the writer George Augustus Moore.
