Frank Porter was from Rathmullen Co. Donegal and in his preface notes that the printing of this Guide began in Letterkenny but production delays meant it was transferred to the Belfast Printers. He notes, ‘that upward of 4000 orders have been obtained.’

Arranged in Provincial order it is an exhaustive directory of merchants, manufacturers, shippers, shopkeepers etc throughout the country before the first World War and the traumas of the 1920’s. Containing many pages of advertisements.
