The Book of Kells. Switzerland: Faksimile Verlag Luzern, 1990. Handbound in kid and fully stitched onto double cords by Burkhwilt Bookbinders. Housed in leather presentation box, embellished with silver plated miniatures and gold embossing. The design was inspired by the medieval Irish book-shrine & ornamental elements taken from the Book of Kells. About fine, with only the slightest of shelf wear noticeable on covers. With accompanying volume of commentary edited by Peter Fox, with contributions by Gearóid MacNiocaill, PatrickMcGurk, Bernard Meehan, Anthony Cains. This volume contains 383 pages, with 14 coloured plates. Bound in half kid, linen boards, housed in slipcase.

This Fine Art Facsimile is a faithful re-creation of the original manuscript [MS 58], preserved in the library of Trinity College Dublin. All photography was carried out by the Heinz Bigler Atelier using a sophisticated photographic technique, specially developed for this purpose. Comprising two volumes, the facsimile itself and a scientific commentary, both in a presentation case. All 680 pages of the manuscript were reproduced in the finest detail, a faithful copy of the original. The sheets have been trimmed according to the original pages and bound by hand on four cords.
